DGS Chapter Secretary Opportunities

Calling Select Fairfax & Loudoun County High School Students!

Are you a motivated high school junior in Fairfax or Loudoun County with a passion for technology, leadership, and community impact? SaNDAI Cares is recruiting rising students to serve as community leaders for its DataGen Scholars (DGS) program — and we want YOU to be part of the movement.


As a Secretary, you will help launch and lead a community-based program that empowers your peers with cutting-edge knowledge in data analytics, generative AI, and innovation. 

This is more than a leadership role — it is your chance to shape the future, build your resume, and be recognized for making a real difference in your community. The deadline to apply for this role is May 30th. 

We are also hiring for these additional roles: President, Vice President, & Treasurer

Job Title: Secretary, DataGen Scholars Program – Fairfax & Loudoun County High Schools

Organization: SaNDAI Cares

Location: Virtual/Remote
Compensation: $200 stipend
Time Commitment: 3–5 hours per week


About the Program:

DataGen Scholars (DGS) is a national initiative by SaNDAI Cares that empowers high school students with data analytics, generative AI, and leadership skills to thrive in the digital age. Through hands-on learning, real-world applications, and community-based programs, students gain knowledge that fuels both academic and community impact.


Role Summary:

SaNDAI Cares is recruiting 20 student leaders to serve as Secretaries of DataGen Scholars programs at their Fairfax or Loudoun County high schools. As Secretary, you will play a central role in documenting the programs activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and capturing moments that tell the story of your community's DataGen journey. You are also required to attend 14 hours of training with the SaNDAI Cares once you begin in this role.


This position is ideal for highly organized juniors who enjoy writing, coordination, and helping lead behind the scenes. You will collaborate closely with the President, Vice President, and Treasurer to make sure every milestone is preserved and shared.


Key Responsibilities:

  • 📄 Record and archive all program meeting minutes and event summaries
  • 🗓️ Maintain a log of all program activities (e.g., program events, workshops, info sessions)
  • 📸 Capture photos and media from program events to share with SaNDAI Cares’ social media team
  • 🧑🏽‍🤝‍🧑🏼 Support the President and Vice President in leading the program and increasing membership
  • 📢 Assist with community-wide promotion and DGS visibility
  • Help ensure program members are completing DGS-related tasks and upholding the Code of Conduct
  • 📬 Stay in contact with SaNDAI Cares leadership and submit regular documentation


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a current high school junior enrolled in a Fairfax or Loudoun County public school
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Active in at least one school-based club or team sport
  • Excellent written communication and time management skills
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and creative in documenting student life


Compensation & Timeline:

  • Secretaries will receive a $200 stipend each month beginning June 1, 2025.
  • The official term is June 1, 2025, - August 31, 2026.
  • Required Training in 2025.
